If
you have great people skills and enjoy the challenge of teaching others
then consider obtaining an Instructor Rating. It's an excellent way to
share your passion for flying. To obtain an Instructor Rating you need
a total of 200 hours flight experience, 150 of which must be pilot in
command time. Your training will include an additional 25 hours of flight
instruction on how to teach each lesson and to identify and correct student
mistakes. You will also need to complete an instructional techniques theory
course. This will equip you with skills to instruct people with different
personalities and learning abilities. Training at Ardmore Helicopters is based on a personalised approach and we take pride in delivering well rounded pilots with the right attitude to the private and commercial flying community. We'll share this philosophy with you as part of your Instructor Rating training. Instructing can be a career step or a career in itself. Either way we'll help you achieve your goals. |
