Learn to fly Hughes 300, Robinson or Bell206 Helicopters

Gaining type ratings is a great way to broaden skills and to make your CV look more attractive to potential employers. Most ratings take around 5 hours to achieve depending on your previous experience. We start with technical theory and ground briefings, then move to circuits, handling, hovering, confined areas and emergency procedures. You'll fly under different loading and preferably different weather conditions to ensure your familiarity and confidence with the aircraft. After a short questionnaire and check flight, you can celebrate the addition of a new rating in your logbook.

Many CPL students will also undertake a turbine rating during the course of their studies. Aside from the Schweizer 300, Robinson R22 and R44, and Bell JetRanger that we have available on line, our Instructors can also train you in the Hughes 500, or Eurocopter EC120. Call us on (09) 298-1899 or 0508 CHOPPER to discuss your requirements.
